Before starting Markoski’s in 2023, I worked in the moving business and saw firsthand what happens when a company is built on poor management, low wages, constant turnover, and the wrong incentives. Crews changed weekly and standards were inconsistent. People showed up who didn’t care — or shouldn’t have been trusted in someone’s home at all. Customers were receiving acceptable service, but never the kind that truly reduced stress, built trust, or made a meaningful difference. The more I worked as a mover, the more I realized this experience was the norm for companies. I decided to build something new.

Our difference is that we treat moving like a craft, rather than basic labor. We have high standards, and approach each job like a skilled tradesman would; with care, detail, and pride. From our equipment to our team members, customers can feel the thought that has been put into how we’ve built our operation. This kind of commitment to quality has led to our reputation of reliability, fairness, and home-grown hospitality in an otherwise unreliable industry.
